Renewal training is available to students who have an active ACLS certification from American Heart Association. If your card is NOT AHA or expired, you must sign up for the initial training.

You are REQUIRED to have the current textbook for this course. If you already own one or have access to one before, during, and after the class, you do not need to purchase one.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) builds on the foundation of Basic Life Support (BLS), emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. The hands-on instruction and simulated cases in this advanced course are designed to help enhance their skills in the recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute arrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.


Paula Carr is a licensed ACLS instructor for American Heart Association and American Red Cross. She has four years of experience as a CVOR nurse and is CNOR certified. She prides herself on thorough and comprehensive training, and is excited to help her students leave class feeling confident in their abilities to provide life-sustaining care.
