Get certified (or renew your certification) in Basic Life Support through this hands-on American Heart Association course, designed for healthcare providers and anyone who needs BLS certification for work or licensure.

What you'll learn:

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • Use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • Relief of choking (foreign-body airway obstruction)
  • Effective ventilation using a bag-mask device
  • Team dynamics for multi-rescuer resuscitation

Course details:

  • Format:
    • New Instructors: Blended HeartCode BLS with Instructor-led, hands-on skills practice with manikins
    • Renewals: hands-on skills practice with manikins with written test after completion (to forego the written test complete HeartCode BLS from American Heart Association)
  • Certification: AHA BLS Provider card, valid for 2 years
  • Group size: Each class is limited to 20 students. Beyond 20 will require a separate session (can be scheduled the same day).
