The American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) program is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to recognize and manage cardiopulmonary arrest, acute arrhythmias, and other medical emergencies.

The ACLS coursed covers topics such as the importance of high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of airway management devices, and the administration of medications used during advanced cardiac life support. Participants also learn how to interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs) and identify arrhythmias, as well as how to manage acute coronary syndromes, stroke, and other medical emergencies.

In addition to the knowledge gained through the ACLS course, participants will also develop their communication and teamwork skills through simulated scenarios and hands-on practice.

Overall, the American Heart Association's ACLS program provides healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage a wide range of medical emergencies and improve patient outcomes.

Instructor

Paula Carr is a licensed ACLS instructor for American Heart Association. She has over five years of experience as a CVOR nurse and is CNOR certified. She prides herself on thorough and comprehensive training, and is excited to help her students leave class feeling confident in their abilities to provide life-sustaining care.
