HSI Instructor Development Course
HSI Instructor Development Course
This course is designed for anyone without prior instructor training wishing to become an HSI (Health and Safety Institute) authorized instructor.
In order to become an instructor, participants will complete the online learning sessions, followed by a single-day, in-person classroom session. After the completion of both the online sessions and the in-person classroom session, the instructor candidate will need to either affiliate with an already established Training Center or apply to establish their own Training Center. After this step is complete, the new instructor will be authorized to conduct HSI training courses and issue certification cards.
Individuals must be at least 17 years old and hold a current provider certification and/or be able to demonstrate competency in layperson adult, child, and infant CPR, AED, and First Aid.
This course is a total of 7-9 hours long (online + in-person combined).
