STOP THE BLEED® Coalition

The STOP THE BLEED® program teaches people how to respond to bleeding emergencies. The program includes training on how to apply pressure, use cold packs, elevate the injured area, constrict pressure points, and apply a tourniquet.

We offer STOP THE BLEED® courses for Montgomery and Brazos County residents without charge. We ask for a contribution to help pay for materials but contributing is optional.
  • Our instructors will teach you live—in person, using training materials specially developed to teach bleeding control techniques. They will not only instruct you, they will be available to check your movements as you practice three different bleeding control actions. They will keep working with you until you demonstrate the correct skills to STOP THE BLEED® and save a life. 
  • There are no age limit restrictions for taking a class. If the student can understand and retain the class material, perform the hands-on skills, they should be provided certification. All training supplies will be provided. Every student will be provided their own booklet to use during class and keep afterwards. 
  • Stop the Bleed Coalition is a community of individuals and organizations who are passionate about the STOP THE BLEED® campaign. The Coalition’s goal is to support the growth and impact of the STOP THE BLEED® campaign by providing access to information and services to the growing STOP THE BLEED® community as well as financial support to the STOP THE BLEED® Project.
  • Please try to arrive at class 10 minutes early to check-in.
  • Class Location: 100 Commercial Circle, Building A, 2nd Floor, Conroe, Texas 77304 (FM 2854 1 Mile West of the Conroe Central Library. Across the street from SRM Concrete formerly Yancy Concrete). While the building is handicap accessible, the training center is on the second floor. If you need accommodations for stairs please reach out.
  • You should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement. You may need to bend, stand, lift, and work on your hands and knees.

I've taken a lot of BLS classes over the years, and this one is hands down the best! I've been renewing with her for the last two cycles and have enjoyed every class. I even had my grandparents take it since they'd be helping with a new baby at home. You’ll walk away from her class feeling confident and with the knowledge that could save a life. She takes the class seriously, and it’s well organized, easy to follow, fun and engaging. The scheduling and payment process is super convenient, and you get your certification card the same day! Plus, she sends helpful reminders when your certification is about to expire. Definitely take her class, you’ll be glad you did!!!

Anita was fabulous! She helped build my confidence for practice in the need of a real life emergency situation. She acknowledges where you are strong in the class but guides you where there can be improvement. You aren't rushed at all and I could not recommend her enough!!! Anita is a wonderful instructor and cares about her students. She will set you up for success. The suite is nice, clean and very welcoming. If this is your first time completing any type of BLS certification and are a bit nervous, as I was, Anita will make sure that you feel comfortable as she has a very calm demeanor.
